Welcome to the first day in a week of encouragements that will bring you “7 super easy keys to wipe out worry!”
Believing what Jesus says about worry is a great place to begin!
“Do not worry!”
(Matthew 6 verse 25 New International Version)
Jesus taught his disciples, saying, “Listen to me. Never let anxiety enter your hearts. Never worry about any of your needs, such as food or clothing. For your life is infinitely more than just food or the clothing you wear. Take the carefree birds as your example. Do you ever see them worry? They don’t grow their own food or put it in a storehouse for later. Yet God takes care of every one of them, feeding each of them from his love and goodness. Isn’t your life more precious to God than a bird? Be carefree in the care of God! ”
(Luke 12 verses 22 - 24 The Passion Translation)
I remember a particular day when I was really very worried. At that point we were in France and we had no idea where we were going to be living next. The physical anxiety was weighing me down. I decided to go for a walk and I said out loud to Jesus, “You’ve told me not to worry, but I am worried. So, in the best way that I can, I give this massive weight of concern to You and I ask You to take this worry off me and to fill me with peace. I want You to tell me that everything is going to be all right. Thank you for what You will do and how You’re going to help us.” I walked back. Within half an hour, Peace had arrived, and over the next few days we had been given the solution. I believed that He would help, and He did.
