Knowing that everywhere is safe is a resassuring key to unlocking Joy!
It is a great joy to know that we are safe because God is always there! When we’ve invited Him to live inside us, there is absolutely nowhere we can go where He is not present. That’s very good news! We are safe in His hands. And He’s got the whole world in His hands!
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
(Zephaniah 3 verse 17 New Living Translation)
“Be still, and know that I am God!”

It was winter, it was dark and snow was falling heavily. I was driving along a country road and down a hill. I had just dropped a friend off at the train station. As the hill became steeper, I began to brake but the car wouldn’t slow down. I tried to steer but the wheels just slid on the hard snow. I cried out, “Help me, Lord!” I saw a car ahead of me but I wasn’t able to avoid bumping into the back of it. As I went to see if the people in the car I had hit were all right, a large breakdown truck appeared out of nowhere. Three men jumped out and came over to me. The other car had gone, I don’t know how. The men towed my car safely to the nearest garage. One of them said, “You’ll be safe now.” I headed for the reception of the garage and as I turned to thank them, they had disappeared. The whole experience was completely miraculous! Help came when I really needed it.

God’s protection arrives at just the right time, because He sees everything on the horizon that we cannot see.
