Living full of Holy Spirit is a wonderful key to unlocking Joy!

I remember the first time I experienced people full of Holy Spirit Joy was when I was invited to an evening meeting at my church. The atmosphere was electric, bursting with God’s Love, Joy and Peace. The room was packed and people’s faces were shining brightly. One lady was so full of joy she laughed non-stop for about three hours! This was the first time that I had met Holy Spirit. It was very exciting and I was thirsty for more. I still am!!

A life that is joyful and content, at peace and fulfilled, is a life overflowing with the person of Holy Spirit. A life of openness, trust, closeness, accountability, wisdom, determination, insight, encouragement, tenderness, faith, hope and love. A life filled with challenges that grow us and relationships that build us up. Jesus’ relationship with His twelve disciples was just like this.

They said to each other, “Were not our hearts filled with Joy when He talked to us on the road about what the Holy Writings said?”

Joy is a fruit - a fruit of Holy Spirit. We become like the people we spend time with. Spending time with Him brings more love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control - and joy into our lives. 

“But the fruit produced by Holy Spirit within you is divine Love in all its varied expressions: Joy that overflows, Peace that subdues, Patience that endures, Kindness in action, a life full of Goodness, Faith that prevails, Gentleness of heart and Strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.”
