Trusting God is a vital key to unlocking Joy!

Trust replaces rejection, develops confidence and sustains joy.

Before we went as missionaries to France a few years ago, part of our preparation involved selling or giving away everything we owned, apart from what we could fit in our car! We were able to do this because God asked us to and because we trust Him. It was very liberating. As some things left the house, it was challenging, but God had made a promise that He would give us back more than we had let go of (Matthew 19 verse 29). The whole process gave us - and many others - a great deal of joy. When people collected what they had bought or received from us, it was as though each item was an answer and gift from God. 

We can trust God because His plans for us are good and designed to fulfil us, use all the gifts He’s given us, bless others and increase awareness of His love.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

(Jeremiah 29 verse 11)

There is tremendous joy in living like this.

“Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way, you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly.”

(Psalm 37 verse 5 The Passion Translation)

“Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His super-abundance until you radiate with hope!”

(Romans 15 verse 13 The Passion Translation)
