In 2010 I was planning to travel to Liverpool University for my bachelors degree in Business Administration. Since at that time my Uncle Kirunda Kivejjinja was the 2nd deputy prime minister and he had got me a government scholarship to go and study abroad. Just a week to my departure, I got a divine visitation from the Lord in form of a vision where I saw a man wearing white garments and a white robe in his waist with very bright white clouds and he spoke to me: “Kirunda Shalif where you want to start from in life is not where I want you to start from, I asked him a question: “Where do you want me to start from?” and he told me “Makerere University”. Then I asked him, “Who will pay for my school fees in Makerere?” and he told me, “I am Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I have been paying for you school fees and I will still pay for you school fees” He held my hand and took me around the world where I saw my self in a very big stadium preaching the gospel on the pulpit and people began to cry and repent of their sins turning to God. Then in one place I saw my self on the streets of the UK where people were getting healed, delivered and the blind, lame, dead and mute received massive miracles. One lady asked me a question, “Man of God what do you want to go back with to Uganda?” and I answered her, “Money” which she gave me gladly and that’s how the vision ended.

In the morning I shared with my family and the first word my Daddy told me is if you are becoming stupid with the pentecoastal things leave my house and go because I will never be part of his family again. The lord gave me a strong spirit and I told them am ready to follow the Jesus who met me in the night.

I decided to forsake my Islamic religion and my family and I went to a nearby church where I started fellowshipping and also I started sleeping in that church.

After a week a lady by the name of Sifa Harriet came to me and told me God visited her in the night and told her to come to me and give me 200,000ush to go and apply in Makerere University and then she also told me that God told her that I should bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit because God was going to use me to bring back many nations to himself backed with a scripture in the book of Galatians chapter 5:22.

I went to Makerere and applied. It was application time and I was admitted on a Bachelors degree of Arts. My sister in the UK, now a Nurse, decided to pay my tuition for the whole of my first year at campus regardless of my turning to a different religion.

So in my first week at the university it was about 1pm while I was heading to the hall of residence for lunch and the Holy Spirit descended on me where I was filled with power and boldness and a voice of the Lord spoke to me, “Tell my people who I am.” There and then I started preaching the gospel of the Kingdom telling my fellow students at campus to repent of their sins and believe Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. I saw many young men and women coming to me asking me what they should do to take Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and a mighty wind of revival blew all over the University where young men and women bagan to stand on the streets to preach the gospel something that had never happened in their entire history of Makerere University.

I continued studying while preaching the message of God’s love and forgiveness leading to repentance and remission of sins till my 1st academic year ended.

When my second academic started I failed to raise 60% of the tuition and I applied for a fallow year but I never left the University since I knew clearly God had brought me to the university and promised to pay my school fees. I continued to live with my friend in his hall room since he was on government sponsorship (Opio Julius ) while I continued to preach the gospel at campus. One day I was praying at campus towards the last week to the end of our 1st academic year and I had a vision from the Lord at campus where I saw my self entering the office of the Dean of Students of Forestry and the voice of the Lord told me, “Young man go to that office and I will tell you what to tell the person you find there.” I quickly went and knocked the door of the Dean and he immediately asked me a question,”How can I help you?” I told him my name is Kirunda Shalif doing Bachelors of Arts in arts but the Lord sent me in this university to study as well to preach his gospel of salvation but am on a fallow year.” Surprisingly the dean had seen me a lot preaching at campus during morning hours and much time and then he told me, “I wish I knew you would not be on a fallow year. With effect from this coming a academic year I will pay all your school fees and meet all your needs.”

God is faithful the man of God (the Dean of Forestry ) started paying all my tuition till I graduated.

In 2015 I graduated and made a convenant with God never to look for a job but to serve him fully. I started to fast and pray while reading my Bible intensively as I was started with another friend of mine at his house as I was helping him in his ministry. I continued with my street ministry on the streets of Kampala and at around March of 2018 God sent me a man from Kenya with a directive that I should marry and by that time I had just been in a relationship with my girlfriend Namuswe Olive who is now my wife. We got engaged in April and wedded on 11th 08. 2018 now we have 2 kids.

CHURCH Testimony

In January of 2020 God gave me a vision where I was leading a church and this was confirmed by my Friend Harriet who sent me a WhatsApp that very morning and told me, “Kirunda I saw a vision where you had started a church and I was part of it but we need a Sunday school teacher.” This confirmed to my spirit that God had called me to start a church.”

I went around with my friend Edwin to look for a place. Thankfully we got one which didn’t look in a good condition but we believed God to paint it. I had a few teams of brethren whom I shared with this vision and they said, “Mr Kirunda we will be a part of you let’s go and start.” We started with an evening fellowship that very week on Wednesday with no chairs no machines nothing but us in the room.

I remember on Sunday we had a service while people were standing and the Lord told me to tell them that the following Sunday they come they will have chairs - a message I clearly shared with them.

So the following week on Monday I was at church and an old friend of mine called me. “Where are you? It has been long since we left campus and you always prayed for me and now God has really blessed me.” I there and then told him I started a church in Makerere Kikoni and he said, “Let me find a way to come there now now.” When he came the first thing he did was to laugh because the building was not in a good shape so I told him can we pray for a minute and after praying he told me, “God has told me to buy for you all the chairs for the church and also give you money to renovate this building.” He gave me 300usd and I went to town and bought 50 plastic chairs and I speak. Now we have a nice sound system at church in these 3 years plus the lockdowns

I am a pastor but also an evangelist who loves missionary work.
