Thankfulness and expectation of good is a seventh step towards a Fear Free Future!
I remember a time when my one-year teaching contract was due to finish at the end of the school year.
I went to a lot of interviews but, just four weeks before the end of term, I still didn’t have a job for September.
Every day, colleagues would ask me, “Have you got a job yet?” and I always replied, “There is a job for me and one day soon I’ll be telling you all about it.” Every morning and night I thanked God for the job He had for me.
Finally, a few days before the end of term I was invited to an interview and I declared that this was the job! It was! I got the job!
A lifestyle of thankfulness and expectation of good unlocks God’s favour and blessing into our lives, chasing away fear.
“You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
