I am Ayucha Edwin Owino, born in Kenya, living in Uganda with my Maternal Aunt after my Father denied me that I am not his biological child. This situation forced my mother to take me to Uganda since she was a Ugandan to live with her sister at the tender age of 4years.

My aunt and her husband were a blessing to me. They kept me like their own son, educated me and supported me a lot. They send me to school and paid my school fees always on time. Sometimes during holidays, I would ask my aunt to take me home, so that I can see my mother and father but she would keep on promising me until the school resumes, and I would go back to school without seeing my parents.

In 2006, my aunt died of HIV/AIDS, and life was so difficult for me, and I was so confused. Mysteriously, while I was in my room, I had a voice saying, ‘’Edwin! Edwin! Don’t worry, it’s me Lord who has been protecting you since your birth and from today I want you to serve me.....’’ The same voice directed me to a certain church called Discipleship and guided me to tell them everything the Lord had told me. I went to that church as I was directed and narrated everything as I was commanded and after I had finished, the pastor prayed for me and led me into confession prayer and thereafter I became saved.

Studying was my major worry since my uncle could not afford to educate me and his children. Sometimes, I would sit home and wait until my uncle finishes to clear his children’s tuition fees and that’s when I would also be considered by him. In 2007, I continued to serve God and trust in him as a Youth Leader and also leader of Praise and Worship Department in Lumino Discipleship church. I thank God that by his Grace, I managed to finish my Ordinary high school level in 2008, where I was also promoted to be a deacon in the church as young as I was. The church and well-wishers supported to see me join my Advanced level in 2009. Yet in the same year, pursuing my Advanced level in Lumino High School, I was elected as Chairman and Chief Organizer in the Scripture Union where I served God relentlessly, encouraging my fellow students to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and even leading some into confession prayers.

In 2010, I completed my Advanced level and by God’s Grace Amidst challenges, I qualified to join Makerere University in 2011. I applied for Bachelor of Arts with Education in Makerere University and I was offered a place. At the University, It was my Mother who was now paying my tuition fees through brewing alcohol and selling it to the local people where she was staying in Kenya. During my stay at University, I served God under Makerere International Student Hostel Fellowship as Chief Usher, and also under my leadership, and support from other students, we formed an Outreach Mission Team, which was called Elshama Evangelism Team. Through this team, we reached out the Gospel to our fellow students and people outside campus. Many students gave their lives to Christ during door to door ministry that we carried out and by God’s grace, those converted also joined the TEAM and helped to spread the Gospel of Christ.

I would have completed my degree in Education by 2014 but my Mother got sick and she could not raise any money for me to complete my studies. I had to ask for a dead year in my final year, and joined a full-time ministry at Jesus Is Lord Revival Church Kampala, where I was an Associate Pastor at the church. During this time, I would take over Morning sessions prayer and evening devotion. One day, my classmates where passing by and heard my voice while preaching and came inside the church. They told me that they have been looking for me everywhere, my phone was off yet they had got a certain school which needed a teacher. By God's Grace, they connected me to a certain private school to teach History and Kiswahili. I worked there for 2 years and in 2016, I got married with the help of the Church and God blessed as with two children, Israel and Ian.

In that same year, God gave me a vision of a new ministry called JESUS IS THE WAY MINISTRIES, He told me that, "I want you to go outside there and show my people the right way. For I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). He kept insisting that He want me to take the Gospel of the good news to the streets of Kampala. I obeyed the call and I began to preach every day in the morning and evening on the streets of Kampala, sometimes I would board a bus and begun preaching the Good news to all passengers.

In 2018, I decided to go back to University to finish my studies at the same time preaching on the streets and sometimes evangelizing at Campus during my free time. I thank God that I managed to finish that remaining year at University, though I missed some few papers because of school fees but I believe that since University is now opened since Covid 19 has reduced, I know soon I will go back to University and finish those remaining three papers.

I want to thank God Almighty for his Love and Mercy that endures forever. In 2020, after the death of my Uncle, we had a family meeting with my mother and she said that she will talk to her husband if possible we go for a DNA test, a suggestion that everyone welcomed and insisted that it's the best way to help me since my uncle who was acting as my father had died. When my mother went back to Kenya from Uganda after the burial of my uncle, he talked to my Father and he refused but his brother advised him to accept for the better of everyone in the family. We went for a DNA test and the result were positive that he was my biological father. It really surprised many of us, even me myself but they advised me to forgive my Father. I struggled to forgive my Father, but finally the Holy Spirit helped me and I forgave him. I thank God that I have a good relationship with since then, though am much established in Uganda with my family.

Currently, am an Evangelist and Lead Pastor of Jesus is the Way Ministry. We often meet at my house where I live. We hope and believe in God to expand our territory in future and give us our own place of land and build a church structure for God. My passion as per now, is to spread the Good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to corners of the world. I also pray that God will open a door for me to study theology in Ministry and increase my knowledge about God's word in my life. The Lord has done me well and it’s my inspiration to love the Lord by living for him and serving him for he alone is GOD and deserves my Worship.

God is Able.
